Iván González-Soto received an ADVANCE at WSU External Mentor Program Award. Through the award, Iván will work with José Alamillo, Professor and Chair of Chicana/o Studies at California State University Channel Islands. Professor Alamillo’s career trajectory includes an appointment at Washington State University, where he was hired in 1999 as an Assistant Professor of Comparative Ethnic Studies, earned tenure, and served as Coordinator of CES in Pullman before continuing his career at CSU Channel Islands. Iván’s application was titled “Pathway to the Third-Year Review and Beyond: Building Long-Term Scholarly Partnerships in Mexican American Labor History.”
