Dr. Spohnholz and Dr. Miller Present at UC Berkeley

Jesse Spohnholz and Brenna Miller presented at The University of California Berkeley’s ORIAS Summer Institute for Community College Instructors, May 30­-31, 2025, which highlighted the work of the History for 21st Century project. Spohnholz presented a talk called “Utopianism at the Dawn of the Modern Age (and Reflections on for the Post-postmodern Age)” and led a workshop on teaching “Utopian Thinking in the Sixteenth Century.” Miller presented on “Decentering the Cold War: Decolonization, Development, and Third-Way Movements” and led a workshop on teaching “Dams, Development, and Decolonization.” Former RCI Teaching Postdocs in the WSU History Department, Michelle Mann and Philip Guingona, also presented as part of this Summer Institute.
