Sue Peabody has been awarded a €80,000 Research Award by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. This award goes to “internationally leading researchers of all disciplines from abroad in recognition of their academic record to date.” During her sabbatical next year, while working on several historical research projects, she will collaborate with Prof. Rebekka von Malinckrodt, Universität Bremen, on a special journal issue about enslaved and free people of color in continental Europe to 1850. She will spend two months in Bremen and four months in Berlin.
