Dr. Kawamura Documentary Projects

2025 is the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, and Professor Noriko Kawamura has been working with three international documentary film projects. 1) History Channel in the US is producing a new series on World War II (20 episodes) with Tom Hanks as narrator, and Kawamura has been working with three production teams for six episodes in the Pacific Theater. The first filming of Kawamura’s interview took place in New York City in September 2024, and she will have another film interview in Los Angeles on March 18, this year. 2) She has been working with the LIKE A SHOT Entertainment Limited in the UK for a documentary, “24 Hours That Changed the World,” and her final film interview took place on February 17, 2025, which will be aired on Channel 4 in the UK in August 2025. 3) She worked with the RMC Production, Paris, France, for a documentary on Pearl Harbor episode, “la verité minute par minute,” and her interview was filmed on February 6, 2025. In recent years, Kawamura’s interviews on World War II in the Pacific appeared on Netflix’s series “World War II in Color: Road to Victory” released in 2022, as well as “War Machine: World War II” (four episodes) produced by WildBear Entertainment, Canberra, Australia, in 2023.
