The new book by Nathan Sowry (MA in History,WSU 2011), Turning the Power: Indian Boarding Schools, Native American Anthropologists, and the Race to Preserve Indigenous Cultures is coming out this April 2025. He received his MLIS in Archives and Records Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2013, and his PhD in History from American University in 2020. He has worked as the Reference Archivist at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian since 2013.
