Please join us in celebrating the amazing accomplishments of our regional campus communities!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #981e32\">Department of History, WSU Vancouver<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>As part of the Feminist\/Queer Dialogue Series through WSU&#8217;s Women\u2019s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program, Professor Peter Boag presented &#8220;Tales Grandmother Spun: Settler Colonialism and Domestic Violence as the Warp and Woof of a Westering Family\u2019s (non)Memory,&#8221; in October 2020.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>As part of the German Historical Institute\u2019s lecture series, Mobilities and Migration Across the Americas, Assistant Professor Andra Chastain presented \u201cPublic Transport in the Americas: Mobility and Transatlantic Scientific Exchanges\u201d on March 26, 2021.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professor Laurie Mercier was awarded an Arts and Humanities Faculty Research Fellowship to support work on her newest book project.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professor Sue Peabody moderated an important discussion about the racist depictions of black people in the commemorative mural of the abolition of slavery in the French National Assembly, titled \u201cRacism on the Walls of the National Assembly: A Conversation with Mame-Fatou Niang and Julien Suaudeau.\u201d The event was covered in an article by the <em>New Yorker<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The WSU School of Languages, Culture, and Race finished its 2020-21 Lecture Series by featuring Sue Peabody (WSU Vancouver) who presented: \u201cMicrohistory: Reconstituting Slavery, Family, and Freedom\u201d and John Streamas (SLCR, Pullman) who presented \u201cDis-Integration: A Futureless History of Nuclear Families of Color.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/events.wsu.edu\/event\/slcr-lecture-series\/\">Read more about the Lecture Series<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #981e32\">Department of History, WSU Tri-Cities<\/span><br><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Faculty members Robert Bauman, Tracey Hanshew, and Robert Franklin each co-hosted episodes of \u201cPast as Prologue\u201d on the Northwest Public Radio. HIST 466: The History of the Cold War will be offered for the first time in fall 2021.
