Read about <a href=\"https:\/\/history.wsu.edu\/history-newsletter\/faculty-publications-2020\/\">Chastain&#8217;s new book<\/a>, and learn more about her <a href=\"https:\/\/history.wsu.edu\/history-newsletter\/honors-and-awards-2020\/\">teaching award<\/a>!<\/li>\n<li>Professor Susan Peabody continues to receive tremendous accolades for her multi-prize-winning <span class=\"markpwpspp82f\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">book<\/span>, <i>Madeleine\u2019s Children: Family, Freedom, Secrets and Lies in France\u2019s Indian Ocean Colonies. <\/i>Furthermore, <em>Madeleine&#8217;s Children\u00a0<\/em>was recently published as <i>Les enfants de Madeleine: Famille, libert\u00e9, secrets et mensonges dans les colonies fran\u00e7aises de l&#8217;oc\u00e9an indien<\/i>, translated and adapted by Pierre H. Brown, <i>Women in Green: Gloria Brown and the Unmarked Trail to Forest Service Leadership,<\/i> with a forward by WSU Vancouver history professor Laurie <span class=\"mark5m2cojy2l\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">Mercier.<br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Instructor and Academic Advisor Aaron Whelchel, PhD, is one of 27 faculty members named to the 2019\u201320 WSU President&#8217;s Teaching Academy!
